John J Johnston introduces this 1965 Hammer Horror starring Ursula Andress, John Richardson, Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee and Bernard Cribbins. Set in Palestine in the aftermath of WW1 (at about the same time as Flinders Petrie started working there), a lost city of descendants from Ancient Egypt is discovered. A beautiful but arrogant Queen falls in love with a demobbed soldier with disastrous consequences . . .
