Myth, Migration, Egyptomania

As part of UCL's Migration Week conference, the Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology is offering this digital exhibition. The exhibition will be comprised of text, videos and audio recordings in which Egyptian immigrants will reflect on the portrayal of Ancient Egypt in museums and how these narratives have shaped the immigrant experience. Content will be accessible via a new technology that will allow visitors to upload exhibition material to their iPhones or android phones by scanning QR codes on object labels. An illustrated exhibition catalogue will also be available.
