To mark its 60th Anniversary, UCOpera presents 'The Three Pintos' by Weber and Mahler; a comic opera set in Spain full of the farce and intrigue surrounding a loveless betrothal of marriage. No less than three men turn up at the wedding claiming to be Don Pinto the bridegroom. But the bride, Donna Clarissa, knows exactly which Pinto she really loves...

With a production updated to the stylish early 1960s, this operatic gem is UCOpera's contribution to this year's Mahler Centenary. It is the extroadinary fruit of a unique collaboration between Carl Maria von Weber, the original composer, and Gustave Mahler who completed the opera 63 years later.

Professional opera singers perform alongside the cream of UCOpera in the lead roles as well as the justly acclaimed UCOpera Chorus and Orchestra. An enchanting and tuneful farce that was hugely popular in Mahler's lifetime, UCOpera once more brings a rarely-heard masterpeice back into the public eye and ear.
