Dr. Joe Cain, UCL Science and Technology Studies

“It’d be funny if life weren’t so sacred,” says one of the films characters in this1950s sci-fi classic. While it’s famous for its special effects and its final, chilling ending, it also challenges science to ask “is progress worth the price of an occasional mishap?” As usual, the film will be introduced by our resident film boffin, Dr. Joe Cain.

Presented as part of the ‘Natural Change Season’ at the Grant Museum.
