Speaker information

Dr. Caroline Gatrell, Lancaster University Management School

In this seminar Dr. Gatrell will consider the pressures experienced by employed mothers and fathers who are parenting dependent children. In particular she will look at how far employed parents make use of the work-life balance policies on offer at their workplaces, and how they mediate between the (sometimes conflicting) pressures to be 'good' parents and 'good' employees.
