Speaker information

Charlotte Booth, UCL Petrie Museum

Second of a three-part event. Come and have fun with wool at these knitting and social networking events. These sessions will see us closely examine original Coptic socks and learn to knit our own. Initially, we will concentrate on knitting 'in the round' to get the sock shape and create a practice piece before moving onto mkaing rectangular pieces and start the sock if we are ready. The final session will witness the launch of the finlaised sock patterns and a presentation of the project. We will compare the original Coptic socks with those produced by the participants.
